Indonesian Shiva Raichandani wowed the judges with dance group London School of Bollywood

A BRITAIN’s Got Talent wannabe has revealed he would be too frightened to perform his crowd-winning routine in his native country.

Shiva Raichandani, who is from Indonesia, was last night seen wowing the judges with dance group London School of Bollywood.

Shiva said that he would not have been able to perform in his homeland, Indonesia as they aren’t as open minded

Their impressive routine – which won them a place in the next round of the competition – saw Shiva appear in female dress and makeup.

But the youngster said he would be ostracised for the same routine in homeland Indonesia – claiming people there are far less open minded.

Shiva said: “Bollywood is an art form that allows people from all backgrounds to express themselves, and being able to do that as a man in a skirt speaks for itself.

The dance troop say that their messages is that they want people to be comfortable with who they are and that they should express themselves however they like

“I believe that gender is fluid, and that anyone and everyone can express their gender in a very unique way – this is just one of those ways.

“Growing up in Indonesia, there weren’t opportunities to perform in a way that would have allowed me to fully express my gender.

“Doing this routine there would be very hard, and the reception would certainly be unkind.

“So it is comforting to know that any creative expression is allowed here, regardless of gender.”

Fellow member Anushka Segal added: “We dance in traditional Bollywood style, but with twist.

“Our message is we want people to be comfortable in their skin, and to encourage them to express themselves in any way they want.”
